Released to compete with similar cameras of the era the SRT-101 is part of a small group of cameras manufactured with build quality in mind, rather than the use of cheaper components.

With a solid metal body the camera can operate without batteries (only the light meter needs them). It has one of the largest and brightest viewfinders in an SLR (that puts many later cameras to shame), making it great for composing your photos and capturing great images.
